Stayed here with family for Sat night while returning from Balaji Salasar ( 1 hr drive from Salasar Dham). I had never heard of Mandawa before and a quick search... read more on internet for good hotels to stay near Salasar landed me to Vivaana Culture. We were 8 adults, 2 senior couples and 2 young couples. While following the google map you never know that we have reached the spot until u have a very serious look out of your window as it is in middle of narrow lanes and old structures and nothing big to distinguish it from its surroundings. It is basically a old haveli turned into a beautiful hotel. The place is well kept, the hospitality was warm, had a easy check in and checkout. The place a swimming pool, pool table, a small collection of literature, games area, a walk-through gallery, Massage Lounge, lodes of pic worthy spots, old artifacts and a well equipped bar. Food options are a bit limited but more or less you get what you want in the menu and even if the something is not there in the Menu, the Chef is more than happy to serve you what you want. The staff arranged for a Bonfire at Dinner time and the dinner was served amid performance of a local folk singer and puppet show. The staff is polite, housekeeping is good, linen smelled fresh, premises is secure, rooms are well equipped.... The staff is polite, housekeeping is good, linen smelled fresh, premises is secure, rooms are well equipped. We had opted for 4 Luxury Rooms, the decor & furniture of all rooms was diff from one another but on the standardization part each room has a heaters, AC, Warm water, One extra bed or couch, safe & a Tea Kettle.
On the Cons side: There is nothing much around the property to explore, one will not feel safe to even go out alone, no scenic beauty, no windows in the rooms looking outside the property. No play area for the kids, other activities for kids to keep themselves busy.
On a whole a nice one day Stay option for young and old couples especially when you are travelling to Balaji Salasar or Khatu Shyam Ji. More
